So...
...the kids are not real happy with our plan for this year. No gifts under the tree; just stuffed stockings. We'll take them shopping for clothes after Christmas when the sales are huge.
What's the big deal or idea?
We have everything we need. The rest are just wants. So Darla and I don't want to spoil them with more wants being met. We have enough...stuff.
So, we are asking everyone to pool their money they were going to use for buying others gifts and we are going to send it all to International Justice Mission [ijm.org] to support rescuing girls from sex slavery and people from violent oppression all over the globe. It is a small way we can show love, mercy and compassion to the less fortunate. We hope that in the future one or more of our children will pursue a life of serving in a global compassion ministry like IJM.
What are you giving for Christmas?
About IJM
International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
This is one of the most amazing videos I have ever seen.

Watch all 4 parts and worship God in new ways. This will cause you to read the Scriptures with new eyes and insights. God is worthy of adoration, worship, fear and trust.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Love to and from our King!
What if we all thought differently?
What if we all lived differently?
What if...
- we let God tell us how to live?
- we stopped telling God how to be God?
- we stopped trying to have people make us happy?
- we stopped trying to make people like us?
- we stopped 'trying' to stop sinning?
- we trusted Jesus with our lives?
- we loved Him like He loves us?
- we ...
- we let God be God?
- we surrendered control to Him?
- we lived like Paul or Peter or John?
- we loved, really loved--doing what is best for others
no matter what they think of us?
- we cared, served and protected others without expecting something back?
.
.
.
go back and think
over each question for as long as it takes to get it...
Can you imagine living like that?
I love you.
